Programme Purpose and Graduate Profile

The programme has an applied, technological and professional orientation in mechanical engineering, with emphasis on mechanical design, manufacturing technologies, automation and intelligent manufacturing. It combines general and scientific foundations, mechanical-engineering core study, specialisation, laboratory education, intensive practical sessions and a final Undergraduate Project.

Its purpose is to prepare graduates who can analyse and solve complex engineering problems, design and develop mechanical and electromechanical systems, use modern computational and digital tools, and operate effectively in international and cross-cultural engineering environments.

The graduate profile is linked to product research and development, mechanical design, manufacturing-process development, automation and control, intelligent/digital manufacturing, production operations and technical services.
